OUR STORY

The most wonderful Marci Gehring developed everything at the Coffee Pot, which is still a very popular place, before she left to do her own:  From the Heart Foods. As she moves on to her next adventure in South Dakota, I am bestowed her recipes, her food trailer and her customers.  It’s been a privilege to have her personally instruct and work with her in her kitchen. It is my honor to keep her tradition of creating comfort foods with Love. 

I restored an 1889 Barn, so I have a special place in my heart for tradition and history. Simple and uncomplicated. Basic isn’t boring, it’s just really nice. So, taking Marci’s recipes and making them myself truly inspires me. I’ve watched people enjoy her food. I’ve had customers of mine at my vacation rental compliment her food. I see it as a grounding  experience to taste the flavors you expect to be there.  It matters that it is consistent and done well. So, I take the reins from Marci and follow the trail forward.
